Baby Daddy

Plot summary:

And to their surprise, a baby girl is left at their door with a note saying that it’s Ben’s, from one of his previous one-night-stands. Initially hesitant, but later eager, Ben decides to keep his daughter – Emma – without putting her up for adoption. And to help him raise Emma, aside from his brother and best friend is his mother; Bonnie, and childhood friend; Riley Perrin.

Review:
The series revolves around five main characters: Ben Wheeler, Danny Wheeler, Bonnie Wheeler, Tucker Dobbs, and Riley Perrin. You see Ben who’s struggling with being new to parenthood and having to take on the responsibility for another human being whereas he barely is responsible for himself. And not only Ben, but the struggles which the others have to go in assisting him are all hilarious. And then there’s Riley who’s in love with Ben, and Danny who’s in love with Riley, which forms a rather complicated set of events, which both, contain some nice romantic, emotional, and comedic elements. Plus there are the occasional feuds between Bonnie and Tucker, which is no doubt funny.

The acting is of course excellent. Jean-Luc Biladeau(Ben) as the clueless and careless dad, Derek Theler(Danny) as the not-so-bright and superstitious ice hockey player, Tahj Mowry(Tucker) as Ben’s helpful best friend who at times can be sarcastic, Melissa Peterman(Bonnie) as Ben and Danny’s somewhat scary mother who tends to have a slight alcohol problem, and Chelsea Kane(Riley) as the childhood friend who’s now a lawyer, all deliver some effective acting and make the series all the more interesting and hilarious. The storylines for the individual episodes are pretty good, and the dialogues are really entertaining. This series does a pretty good job in bringing out some romance and comedy. It’s an interesting series to catch.
